The inter-consortium thematic group "AI and Computational Tools in Health" (ACTHealth) of the Franco-Indian Campus for Life Sciences and Health (CFI-SVS) focuses on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative computational tools in the health domain to enhance diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and disease management. This group brings together the complementary expertise of the following consortia: BIOSANTEXC, ILIADE, SHIELD, and Integrated Health.

coordinated by École Normale Supérieure (ENS) Lyon and the Indian Institute\ of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, contributes foundational expertise in computational genomics, bioinformatics, and complex biological data analysis. The consortium focuses on developing tools for genomic modeling and advanced bioinformatic analysis to understand the molecular mechanisms of complex diseases, particularly in the fields of neuroscience and metabolic disorders.

led by the University of La Réunion and the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), contributes to this theme with its expertise in applied biotechnologies and computational pharmacology. The consortium develops innovative approaches for the identification and computational optimization of natural therapeutic molecules. ILIADE also offers specialized training in AI applied to plant pharmacology and medical biotechnology.

coordinated by Sorbonne University and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, provides cross-cutting expertise in the clinical and translational application of AI technologies. The consortium focuses on integrating computational tools for the advanced analysis of clinical and biomedical data, particularly targeting neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases. Integrated Health also organizes regular interdisciplinary workshops to strengthen the practical skills of researchers and clinicians in using AI tools in medical contexts.

led by the University Nice Côte d’Azur (UniCA), in partnership with the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIITD), Ashoka University, and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, plays a central role in bioinformatics, molecular modeling, and AI applications in health. The consortium develops advanced predictive models for personalized medicine, digital biomarkers, and early diagnosis, particularly in cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders. SHIELD is also active in designing academic curricula specialized in bioinformatics and AI for health applications.
