Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Resistance
The inter-consortium thematic group "Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Resistance" (ID-AMR) is structured around an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach. This group aims at addressing the global health challenges posed by infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance, critical issues particularly relevant in both France and India.
Each consortium within the Campus contributes complementary expertise essential for the successful implementation of this collective effort:
BIOSANTEXC
coordinated by École Normale Supérieure (ENS) de Lyon and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, contributes fundamental expertise in microbiology, genomics, and biochemistry. This consortium notably focuses on genetic analyses of resistance and detailed characterization of microbial strains. BIOSANTEXC organizes cross-research internships, joint doctoral programs, and the creation of innovative educational tools, thus deepening the understanding of resistance mechanisms at the cellular and genomic levels.
